Hi, I’m Kechi!

Iโ€™m a Public Health Promotion Expert with a Master’s Degree in Public Health. My greatest passion is helping you navigate your healthy lifestyle as a busy career woman.

Ready to start a healthy lifestyle? Or do you want to lose weight?

After receiving my Master’s degree, I thought working in my local health department would be my calling.

But really, serving you directly in this online space gives me immense joy and a sense of achievement.

Developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be daunting. And I know from personal experience that maintaining a healthy weight is even the hardest. After being diagnosed with fatty liver in 2018, I started incorporating juicing into my lifestyle routines. It changed my life. I became obsessed because it helped to change my health story and diagnosis.

One of my biggest flexes is helping more than two dozen women change their health stories through juicing. The truth of the matter is the food we eat can either heal us or hurt us. And in this space, we strongly believe the former.

Aside from my personal health experiences, another main thing that helped me to stay committed to assisting career women to change their health stories was my long-term desire to be a health educator!

Wanna See My Journey?

Here we go:

2017

I Completed 6 Months of Mandatory Public Health Practicum (Internship) at a Community Health Center. This provided an excellent opportunity to work in a local health department. I participated in a vaccination drive, amongst other things. But health education was my fav!

2018

Graduated with a Master’s in Public Health Degree. Receiving my MPH in Health Promotion was a dream come true. I was ready to get a job in the same community health department where I interned. Unfortunately, my husband’s military career triggered a permanent change of station. And we moved.

I published my first-ever blog post and crickets. I averaged 40 (forty) monthly website visits. Then, I never published again until several months later.

2019

My husband deployed. Being alone with the kids in a different state, I decided to start “something” online.

I started juicing and intermediate fasting (IT) to deal with health issues and to lose weight. I wanted to lose about 10-15 pounds, and juicing combined with IT quickly took care of it.

I created a Facebook community sharing free healthy lifestyle tips and healthier/nutritious recipes. The group grew to 7000 within the first three months!

I created the 5-day detox challenge for people who wanted to start a healthy lifestyle in the new year. This turned out to be so successful for the participants. Also, I landed my first health coaching clients! After the detox challenge, two people signed up for my ($900) 6-week 1-on-1 program.

2020

I transitioned from my Facebook Group to my website to serve more people. My vision was to help more career-focused women change their health stories. nkechiajaeroh.com develops nutritious/healthier recipes and produces informational materials to help busy career women envision and become better and healthier.

2021

I started the “Cook Healthy with Kechi” membership community. I provided weekly cooking classes, health coaching, and support for 25 career women. This group support was significant because of the coronavirus epidemic!

I started a YouTube Channel focusing on healthy recipes, health education, and healthy lifestyle tips.

2022

I focused on growing my YouTube Channel by creating more video content and videos of most of the recipes I share on this website.

2023

I created The Juice Approach, A 28-day Juicing, Intermediate Fasting, And Clean Eating For Weight Loss! The Juice Approach is a 3-way approach that I use in my one-on-one coaching program to help my clients lose weight the right way and keep it off. This technique addresses weight loss and maintenance.

I addressed dinner issues by creating Make Time for Dinner – An e-CookBook with over 30 Healthy Dinner Recipe Ideas to help you never run out of healthy recipe ideas for dinner! As a busy military spouse and mom of very active children, I have struggled with figuring out what’s for dinner every single evening.

I relaunched my website. We bought our first home! I am excited to create more healthy lifestyle content and nutritious recipes! I am more than ready to serve you even better!

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Check out my books

In 2016, I started keeping a journal to support my emotional health and quickly realized that some of the things I was journaling about could also support others. So, that same year, I published my first inspirational book, Elevate Your Life with the Power of Positive Perception.

And in 2017, I published another one, Gratefully Growing: Gaining Ground with Gratitude. These inspirational books will keep you mentally uplifted while also helping you stay motivated on the things that matter to you.

I love food and enjoy experimenting with different recipes. You will find most of the recipes that passed that experiment on this blog. This website is about living a healthy life, loving healthy foods, supporting and inspiring each other to live our best lives, and being grateful for where we are while striving for more. Whether you want to lose or maintain a healthy weight, I got you. My 5-Day Detox Challenge is the Healthy Lifestyle Kickstarter.

My 10 Favorite Things

for Maintaining

a Healthy Lifestyle

1

Incorporate an Exercise Routine – one of my exercises is walking. My goal is to walk 2 miles 3 days a week! Consider incorporating a physical activity that works for you!

2

Air Fryer – I use the Instant Vortex Plus 6-Quart. And it is literally my life. I have had this air fryer since 2021 and have used it almost every single day!

3

Juicer – I highly suggest a Slow Masticating Cold Press Juicer. I currently have this AMChef Brand. There are many brands out there; make your choice.

4

Epica Glass Bottles – I swear by Epica Clear 18oz Glass Bottles. These are super necessary for your homemade juices. If you are going to be juicing, then these are mandatory. They are no-leak and ensure that your juices are fresh until consumption.

5

Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) – One of the important healthy habits that I recommend is starting the day with an ACV drink or ending the day with it.

6

Upright Freezer – You may argue that you do have a refrigerator. Here’s the deal: if you are dedicating your time to meal plan and meal prep, you need an upright freezer to store them all. I always advise/recommend packing prepared dishes into individual containers for easy reheating/consumption.

7

Intermediate Fasting (IF). In my experience, intermittent fasting has been excellent. However, I know that it works differently for different people. Talk to your health provider and see if it works for you.

8

Get an In-home Exercise Machine. Stationary bikes or Foldable Rower are some simple exercise machines that are fantastic. Alternatively, you could sign up for a gym membership.

9

Food Processor – You need a food processor for meal prepping. I have used mine since I got almost every time that I cook.

11

(Bonus) High-Speed Blender! You should invest in a great blender that will last for a long time. Ninja blenders are great. However, you can start with any other great blender you can afford.

“Kechi gives 100% no matter what she does.”

First, let me say that I would encourage everyone to join this wonderful community. It is full of caring, supportive people, which is no surprise considering who the founder is. Kechi gives 100% no matter what she does, and this community is no different.

What I love is that she has found a way to present cooking in a way that is not intimidating and achievable for everyone, including busy professionals. Through her recipes and cooking demonstrations, she shows that there is always time for a healthy, delicious meal.
